Date: 2024-11-27 08:49 am (UTC)He's got a paraglider. He's fine.
And in fact, Link's so fine that he will indeed go and hop up with a "Hup!" onto one of those wings. And it does indeed give him a great view. In fact...
He points, making wordless vocalisation to get Angelika's attention. Look! Is that some kind of disturbance in the water?

Date: 2024-11-27 01:17 pm (UTC)Going HUP onto the wings however, really throws the ship's balance off, and Angelika utters a bad word (Darn) as she wrenches the wheel over harder to compensate. But before she and the rest of the crew can shift weight, the whole ship rolls slightly over on it's side, about 20 degrees off from flat. It can handle this kind of thing-but Angelika grips the wheel with white-knuckled force.
And she almost misses Link's grunting and pointing, almost. "Do you want to descend for a closer look, or just circle around it?"

Date: 2024-11-30 01:50 am (UTC)Although sometimes it's maybe a little too easy for Link to forget that he can't just warp to a shrine whenever he wants to...
Those, however, are problems for later. Right now, he's focused on keeping his balance on the wing - and staring out towards that mysterious shape in the water.
"Closer," he says. Right now they're too far - he can't make out any details. They need to get in close enough to get an idea of what it actually is.

Date: 2024-11-30 03:42 pm (UTC)She gave him and all the crew time enough to grab a line-and made sure everyone had heard her and done so. And then she gave the sky-skiff it's head, turning to the side hard, bringing them over further, while at the same time turning into the wind. They shed speed and altitude, and began to drop-not uncontrollably, but everyone felt lighter, and there was a horrible sideways quality to the whole thing as they literally slid sideways and down across the sky.

Date: 2024-12-02 10:19 am (UTC)Which seems a bit of an odd response, really, to Angelika's warning of their impending side-slip. But as the entire sky-skiff tilts, Link clings to the wing he'd been standing on...and seems to stick. He should be falling right off the side - but he isn't. The Sticky Elixir is doing it's job.
And as the drop closer and closer, Link stares forward at the thing he'd spotted. As they get closer, details become clear.
This is a creature. One that's massive, the size of a large ship at least. And it has many, many tentacles.
