EVENT #04: THE GREAT SEA HUNT

With sharpened blades and loaded rifles, the Corsairs fan out across the Eternal Ocean. The Great Sea Hunt has begun once again. As the seas froth angrily from the horde of sea monsters, Corsair ships cut a path through. As the din of battle erupts across the Ocean, the Vault is undergoing heavy activity as other Corsairs begin preparing their grand feast.With the defeat of an Imperial Legion in their belts, all Corsairs are eager to make this hunt and this feast one to remember.

There will be open logs for each major category, as well as a wild card option for players to make their own. While these logs are roughly broken into roles, characters are free to tag in and out of whichever posts suit their fancy. The missions from planning and descriptions are repeated here for convenience:

MISSIONS

Monster Investigation: Characters will investigate where sea monsters are gathering for easier and more efficient culling.
Open to: Infiltrators
Hunt Monsters: Characters will go out on ships, and cull the raging sea monsters in the Eternal Ocean
Open to: Combatants
Prepare for the Parties: Characters will need to arrange and organize for the post-hunt celebration. There will be parties held in all major Corsair cities.
Open to: Negotiators
Provide for the Parties: Characters will need to prepare food, drink, and accomodations for the post-hunt celebration. There will be parties held in all major Corsair cities.
Open to: Suppliers

Cure Nyammy pauses as she's addressed by the possible crustacean-man. "Weapons? Spells? Plan? I was just going to hit it until it stops moving." She seems to mull over the cocern for a moment, though. "I can make a passable barrier if I need to protect you, though, so don't worry. You won't be hurt."

Because that's clearly the issue here. Her protecting him.

He rests his freshly sharpened battle-ax on his shoulder.

“Just, it’s gonna try to throw you off and it’s big enough to crush this ship,” he points out. “I like a plan. Helps keep me focused.”

But he’s satisfied that she’s a supernaturally strong mage of some kind, at least.

"Hit it so that it doesn't crush the ship, then." She says it as if it were that simple, then nods to herself.

It does help that almost the entirety of her fighting experience is in fighting monsters much larger than herself, so learning more about their prey - that it runs in the same general type - actually makes her more confident.

"My barriers are also a little springy, so they can make for excellent cushions if you fall overboard." She demonstrates, creating a giant.... paw pad made out of energy. It's very round and looks like it's filled with air, almost. It looks like something you could collide with an come out okay.

She dismisses it after a moment, unless he tries to examine it or something, in which case she'll let him do that.

He glances at the enormous bounce paw-d and nods. "I'll take your word for it. Thanks for the vote of confidence," he says, with only a hint of sarcasm.

Truthfully, he doesn't like to rely on magic, even if it does has it's uses. But if she wants to, and thinks she can take this thing on, he's seen mages powerful enough to back up her boasts.

He points out to see. "There she is - at the crest of the wave. It's breaching soon. Be ready."
