Priest's Progress [Vault]

In a corner of one of the Vault's training rooms, Rezo is standing very still, holding a shakujo-style staff in front of him. At the same time he can be heard chanting in a foreign tongue, and as he chants, air begins to swirl around the tip of his staff, rattling the metal chimes together. The currents grow faster and stronger, whipping his hair and the ends of his coat around dramatically, and then-

"{Diem Wing.}"

-Rezo stomps the end of his staff against the ground and the wind whooshes outward in a circle away from him, knocking over several targets in the process. The closer they are, the more likely it is they've been sent flying.

Of course, any coolness is then undermined by Rezo having to shuffle around and right the targets up again...

Dewey Decimal-less [Vault]

It's been long enough since he was rescued that Rezo has gotten more comfortable with reading Imperial, such that he's started to read more for specific subjects than he is for the sake of reading practice.

That said, he's still learning to navigate the Vault library and his reading isn't exactly fluent yet. After another shelf proves to be of no use to him, Rezo exhales; then perks up when he hears someone approaching.

"Excuse me. I'm trying to find books on a particular subject...?" Hopefully you're someone who normally helps out at the Vault library. Or that you're a generally helpful sort.

Spirit Surgery [Locked to Ziel]

Rezo's fairly sure that Ziel doesn't believe that Rezo can help him. Or maybe it's Rezo who has his own doubts. Still, Rezo does have a little background in soul research- in manipulating astral bodies beyond just exploding them- so he seems to be the best shot Ziel has at treating such an unusual injury.

Settling on a time to meet in between the preparations for the Corsairs' latest mission was simple enough even if nothing else is likely to be, and when the time comes by Rezo is sitting quietly in his room awaiting a knock at the door. When he hears it, he answers it promptly.

"Ah, Ziel? Please, take a seat."

Rezo flips on the overhead light and stands aside so Ziel can enter. The Vault dormitories aren't exactly the most reputable of spaces for a doctor's office, but Rezo's doing his best with the space he has. His room is neat and tidy, with most personal effects tucked away, and he's found a spare chair and a set of medical tools that he's set on a side table.

As soon as Ziel's inside and the door is shut, Rezo asks "How have you been feeling?"

i. Vault: Caves are for shield surfing
Deep within the Vault, there's a system of caves that slope ever-downward. Sometimes they open up into big, open caverns. Other times, they narrow into something more like tunnels.

They are also, as Link has discovered, fantastic for shield-surfing.

So maybe watch out if you take a casual stroll through these caves, because there's a small Hylian careening down the caves' slopes at full speed, standing on the back of his shield like it's a snowboard.

ii. Flotsam: What hoarding problem
In the communal Floating Dorm, rooms were small. Storage was very, very limited.

And yet anyone who lived or regularly visited might have noticed that despite this, Link was regularly bringing back quite a lot to his dorm. He can be regularly seen bringing anything from a sack full of mushrooms or various flowers and herbs, to am armful of bundles of wood.

But it's clear now that the space is getting...challenging. Because the door is wide open, and the inside is looking packed. And it's really not clear just where exactly Link is going to store the full set of deer antlers he's just dragged to his dorm.

iii. Flotsam: Communal cooking
At least Link never got the chance to hoard much food in his room, it was easy to cook up whatever he foraged and hunted at the communal kitchens. He'd soon become a familiar face who regularly cooked for the group.

This time, though, Link was peering closely at the recipe book he and Id had found at the market. It was propped up so Link could see the reference pictures, along with a loose piece of paper scribbled with Link's handwriting - in Hylian, a language that no one else would be able to understand. Unable to read Imperial himself, he'd needed Id's help to translate the recipe.

Tonight, it looked like it would be crab for dinner. As Link glanced at the recipe notes, and started prepping the crabs, he hummed cheerfully to himself.

i. Flotsam: Scouting from the sails
In any new place, Link's first instinct is always to go up. Get high, get somewhere he can see, and then paraglide to the next point of interest. Well, with no paraglider, he couldn't do the last part. But he could do the rest.

So Link will just casually climb up the mast of whatever ship he happens to be on. If there's a ladder, he'll use it. But if there isn't, he'll find a way to scamper up anyway. From there, he'll perch on the edge of the sails, looking out over the armada of ships that make up the Flotsam.

And if you don't spot him when it's up or - or feel like braving the heights to join him - well, he's gotta come down sometime. He might drop down next to you.

ii. Flotsam: Floating markets
Link can't afford anything here, but already he loves this place.

He's already mentally making a long list of things he wants to buy - that wickedly long spear! That exotic spice! The weird glowing rock that would probably be useful somehow! But it's the clothes shops that Link ends up spending the most time in. Something with a bit of protection would be best, but he can't help but also be drawn to some more decorative options. Like that nice flowy white blouse, that reminds him of the Gerudo style...

iii. Flotsam and/or the Vault: Sword practice
On the deck of one of the ships - or sometimes in the Vault's armoury, if he's feeling like a change of scenery - Link finds runs through a sequence of sword forms. They're smooth and practiced, leaving no openings or visible weaknesses in form. It's clear from the way he moves that these movements have been ingrained over many, many years.

When the sequence comes to an end, he lists up his sword and looks at it. It's not the Sword that Seals the Darkness. It's not even comparable to most of his other weapons. But it's serviceable enough. Link can fight with a stick if he has to - he can certainly make do with this.

Elysium - Staff Quarters - Open
Tandy curled up in one of the common rooms, looking fairly drained. She'd spent the past hour writing details into dossiers. The things she heard, things she found in the hearts of empire flunkies with painfully base hopes. Sure one of them deeply hoped to meet a nice man and settle down. But most of them wanted things too far removed from 'good' it made hopes turn sour in her mind.

Something about her powers felt a little grosser than usual right now. Honestly she was considering what the local drug scene was like, which was an equally bad idea. And why she didn't feel it was a good idea to stay in her room alone right now.

Tandy's demeanor is counter to who she is at the Circle of Blood, Starlit Stage, or King's Table. Someone flirty and vivacious. Not some dour mopey teen.
Vault - Training Area - Open
Ballet, as she knows it, isn't local here. So practicing anywhere in Elysium might lead her to trouble. And she has a lot of feelings right now, and dance is a good way to work through them. Her moves are fluid, graceful, but clearly rusty from her time away from it.

The emotion is evident. Not just in her movements, but in the lights growing brighter around the room as she dances. Beyond the light they should produce. A curious thing, a weird resonance her magic produces in the world around her.

...Maybe someone should step in before things explode.

[ Door to Door - Open to Recent Rescues ]

[ If you were freed in the last mission and brought to the Crimson Corsairs, you've likely been patched up and given a room - whether in Flotsam, Elysium, or the Vault. Well, no matter where you've settled in, so long as you're staying in a place the Crimson Corsairs provided, you'll be getting a knock on the door one morning or afternoon a couple days later.

At the door is a short girl - woman - teenager? She's dressed very simply - obviously a commoner - and has a small bag with her. ]

I'm here to provide a medical check-up. [ If you've answered right away, that's her greeting. If not, she's calling that in through the door. ]

[ Apothecary - Open to anybody in or visiting Elysium ]

[ If you're in Elysium, you might see a girl running around with a large basket on her back, just filled to the brim with herbs and plants. If you see her, you might also see the point where she's rounding a corner just as a man - in much finer clothing than hers - rounds it as well.

The results are predictable. The girl is not large by any means, and she's knocked to the ground, her basket spilling its contents all over.

The man gives her a look like he's viewing an insect that's particularly bothersome, but says nothing as he simply steps around Maomao and continues on his way.

The girl is back to her feet to bow to the man. ]
Apologies, Sir. It won't happen again.

[ He makes no sound or movement acknowledging he even heard her, but she holds the pose until he's gone. And then she's kneeling down to gather back up her dropped herbs.

She could use some help, though. ]

[ Open Door Policy - Open to anybody visiting Elysium ]

[ Injured? Sick? Maomao's apothecary is open.

Granted, it's a bit out of the way - you have to head down the back and side streets away from the main thoroughfare of Elysium's red light district and the Vale of Flowers, but you'll find a very small and cramped shop eventually. But the citizens will be more than happy to direct any non-Imperials that way, especially if you seem to be in need.

Otherwise, this is an open prompt! Hit her up if you have other reasons to seek her out. ]

Elysium Dormitories after the liberation, open to all

[Musse is nothing if not scrupulously attentive to her duties. As such, she is here to greet the new arrivals as they are brought to the dormitories. Although she is clearly a noble - her demeanor, bearing and method of speech make that obvious - she hopes that this can help to show that she, at least, is firmly on the side of the rebellion. She is here to greet them and to provide what assistance she can in feeding, assigning, and clothing the new residents, as well as helping assess their skills. If nothing else, she's been able to show her use by proving her knack for reading people's abilities and helping assign them to roles that would best suit them.]

Hail and well met. I am Musse Egret, and I'm here to ensure you are properly settled and cared for. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Flotsam Waterlogged Row, open to all

[Somewhat surprisingly, Musse is something of a wallflower in this place but she enjoys coming anyway. The unbridled joy of Corsairs celebrating, swapping stories, and engaging in foolish challenges with each other is special to her. She'd never seen such a thing in her life as a noble, a genuine affection, even love for one's peers and comrades. She always make it a point to come here after a successful mission and soak in the atmosphere. Still, if anyone comes by, she'll make sure to call out. Any moments in this place she can claim for her own are special, after all]

Elysium, Musse's room - private to Maomao

It's been quite busy with the new arrivals. Tell me your thoughts.
