Link doesn't see why a polymath - whatever that was - couldn't be a fighter. But then, Link wasn't from around here. He didn't have quite the same cultural expectations.
He also has absolutely no idea what 'Maliach's Unweaving' or 'the Elrich Ethereal Engine' is. But Angelika certainly seems like she knows what she's doing. He's content to just wait patiently, as a silent observer, as she works through the puzzle.
(Zelda would like Angelika, he thinks. If she were here, watching this, she'd have so many questions she'd want to ask...)
