Harlock had his suspicions where his dear Arcadia was taken, but among all the military bunkers, factories and storehouses, finding the right installation was trickier - as while he was there briefly, he was knocked out before being taken to the Larnedt labor camp where he was rescued. as he did not want to waste time searching deep in enemy territory, but a combination of intel from the deep-cover Corsairs, and a happenstance of a soldier in Vindess having been transferred out from Davkor, drunkenly bragging about the "Weird shit" she was guarding.

Once he got what he needed, he had sent out a missive, either to those he knew personally and could trust, or those he had heard would be suitable for a mission of this type.

Atom tilts his head to side, blinking at her as he tries to comprehend her trail of thought. "You'd rather life on other planets not be created because of the potential for suffering?"

"Not quite. I mean-- if the gods need to be here to constantly adjust the world, so it stays in position..." She shakes her head. "Making two... Doesn't that imply one's about to be abandoned?"

Atom nods as he catches on to what she's saying. "Yeah, that would be worrying." He frowns to himself.

"I'm only a little familiar with how the story goes from Mr. Matthias's introduction. But at least it sure sounded like the original gods stayed here and took care of things until their deaths. And when they chose new gods, they chose from the locals. So hopefully as locals, they wouldn't want to abandon their world."

[bearsperminute]

"... It's true that we've seen two..." She pauses. "Bah. I can worry about this world-saving stuff when the stuff in front of me is as punched as it's gonna get."

"There's a second one? I hadn't heard." It definitely sparks his curiosity, but he looks a little more serious instead of bright-eyed and eager to ask questions with that second thought.

"It's hard sometimes to be in the moment. I tend to have a lot of thoughts in the back of my mind. But you're right. Stopping the empire from getting this technology is a really important step. To travel through space, Harlock's ship is likely faster and sturdier than anything the empire has."
