Far, far above, Shu is still screaming, though it's progressed to a sort of breathless squeak at this point. She is hanging by her collar from the white ox's jaws, and although it seemed to have taken care to be gentle, the ground would certainly be less gentle when her clothes tore and she plummeted to her doom. She didn't especially want to test if she could dissolve her corporeal form right now. So it is that she ends up wrapping her arms and legs around the white ox's front leg and burying her face in its flank.
"Donnie? ...Are you alive?"
