The name of Flotsam makes him think of the battle plans discussed earlier, of the people from Flotsam who had saved him from the Imperials just a couple days before. He hopes they'll be alright. He almost asks Ilphyl more about Flotsam, but decides against it. They are probably stressed about it enough already. Questions can wait until after the battle.
