She didn't need to put that much effort into stopping the arrow. It didn't really bounce that much, not with the apple weighing it down. There's a reason he'd picked the apple as the thing to Fuse to it - it couldn't have done much, if any damage.

So the rather extensive response - at least as Link sees it - gets a bit of a bemused blink from him. But he doesn't comment, just looks at her conjured shields with faint curiosity.

And then holds out the table-shield towards her - a clear invitation for her to take a closer look, and see what she can do. When she looks at it closer, she may be able to tell that it hasn't just stuck the items together - there's no glue, no force holding two items. Rather, they've been fused together on a more fundamental level - in some way transformed in order to become one object.
