MISSION #02 A MAN OF WORTH EXECUTION PHASE

EVENT #02: A MAN OF WORTH EXECUTION PHASE
At the appointed time, a lavish fleet of airships begin to descend upon the islands of Elysium. Departing from the Maikrecht port, the heraldry on the central ship marks a noble general of extreme renown. His airship is surrounded by 3 other airships in a protective triangular formation, as well as a flight of 2 Zepter and 3 Feder armors. As they descend, the Flotsam fleet set sails, hoisting black flags as one over every single ship in the fleet. Flotsam has but 4 functional airships to their name, and all are present today as they take flight. As the airships climb in altitude, the Flotsam fleet begins firing upon the escort group from below.
It is above this salvo of cannon fire that the Corsairs begin to board. Descending on the escort airships via glider, they have but one goal - destroy the ships. Meanwhile, a smaller strike force quietly descends on the main ship with their own mission: secure the VIP and get him out alive.
CORE MISSIONS
Attack the Ships:Combatants will need to attack and sink the 3 escort ships and armor escorts, as well as ensure the elimination of any soldier within the escort party.
Conflicts: The fighting will be bitter, with lots of powerful soldiers. There are 3 Feder and 2 Zepter armors that will need to be contended with, the Feder Armors carrying gattling guns and the Zepter armors piloted by powerful lightning mages. The soldiers manning the ships are elite, and cannot be easily dispatched.
Requirements: To participate in this mission, your thread header should read ATTACK THE SHIPS.
Capture the VIP:Infiltrators will need to sneak aboard the main ship and capture the VIP. The man himself is an aging noble in rich robes and with graying hair who goes by the title of Lord Gundhir. They will need to capture and subdue him, as well as get him off his ship and onto a Corsair vessel.
Conflicts: Lord Gundhir is not a fighter, but he won’t come easily. Additionally, he is accompanied by his son, Adolfus Gundhir, who is a powerful warrior known for fighting with a massive greatsword. While the private and sumptuous appointed quarters the two nobles are in aren’t great terrain for using the greatsword, the younger Gundhir is an extremely accomplished warrior and if encountered directly will take the combined might of the entire team to threaten.
Requirements: To participate in this mission, your thread header should read CAPTURE THE VIP.

With the icicles blocking off the soldiers, they're having to go around to try and reach them. They're having to watch their footing, and go slower.
Which means that Link can afford to fire his bow, and pick them off as they start trying to come near.

Between Link's arrows and her barrage of ice, the rest are picked off one by one, until none are left standing. At that moment, Link starts to relax, thinking that the battle is done.'
But then there's a quick movement, up in the sky - a Feder Armour!
And it's heading not towards the Escort ship, but the Corsair one.

Once there, he pulls out his glider - and leaps off. He heads not for the Armour, but for Musse and the Corsair ship. She needs backup now, and he's not going to leave her to face the Armour alone.
Only question is, who will get there first - Link, or the Armour?

But by the time it gets in close, Link is near too - and as he glides above the Corsair ship, he releases his hold on the glider. Still in mid-air, he pulls his bow from his back, and aims.
To Link, it seems like the world around his slows to a crawl. To Musse and the Armour, it looks like Link suddenly speeds up, firing off nine arrows right at the Armour's helmet in the space of seconds.
And then Link's stamina runs out, and he drops to his feet on the deck beside Musse.

And yet it's not down for the count just yet, as it darts forward with blades at the ready - right towards Musse.
But Link runs, placing himself in front of her and bringing up his shield to block the blow.

So he follows up Musse's attack by grabbing a bomb flower out of his pack, and tossing it at the same spot in the pilot's cockpit. Bombarded by ice and explosive flowers, the Armour staggers back, reeling.

Link doesn't hesitate, as he runs towards the damaged Armour.
"Hyah!" he yes, as he leaps up high and stabs his sword through the shattered cockpit.

So he leans back. Sheaths his sword. And gives Musse a nod - she was pretty impressive there.

"Do you think we can pull him out and get you in this thing?"
no subject
Could he pilot it? He doesn't know. But maybe it's not all that different from some of the cobbled-together Zonai devices he'd made back in Hyrule. He's game to try.
So Link starts yanking on the pilot, trying to pull him out of the cockpit.

While saying this, she unceremoniously dumps the body over the edge of the airship, although not without some trouble. She's certainly not built for heavy lifting.
no subject
"You've used one?" he says. Because that description sounds like she might have.

Musse watches as he boards the armor. "Do you think you can fly?"
no subject
"...Did you want to?" he says, looking at her.
no subject
"I'm not sure if it'd be as helpful - I'm not as versatile a fighter as you so I wouldn't be able to draw out the machine's full potential."

So he settles into the cockpit. Looks at the controls, and starts experimenting with them to see how it works.
Musse might want to duck, as the Armour briefly resembles an inflatable tube man as it's limbs spasm in odd ways before Link gets the hang of it.
no subject
"Think you can use that to sink the ship?"
no subject
Link nods, determined. He'll sink that ship. He'll find a way, no matter how inexperienced he is with the Armour.
