Gohan stands on the deck of one airship near the bow, arms crossed and watching the enemy formation get closer. Rather than wear his casual clothing again this time, he's dressed in a new ensemble -- a deep blue martial arts gi, with a red belt, wristbands, and legbands, and black shoes. He could fly straight at them right now, but he feels it's better to conserve energy and attack with the rest of the Corsairs.
But that doesn't mean he can't get ready. For this, Gohan knows he's going to need to go harder than he did during the rescue mission. He sees the armors, and recalls the one he faced at the labor camp being obviously too heavy to fly. These are flying, though, which raises a few questions as to their composition. If nothing else, they should be more agile than the one he has already faced, which means he needs more speed to compensate.
As the time draws closer, he builds energy. Then, in a flash, his body changes. His hair suddenly changes colors from black to gold, and his dark eyes turn a greenish-blue. The change also generates a visible aura of energy around his body, though he lets that fade briefly.
"I'll focus on the armors. Since they can fly, I'm our best weapon against them."
[2: During the Battle]
[a] The armors have managed to split up, and Gohan by himself can't handle all of them. Thankfully, the Corsairs' airships and their cannon fire has helped impede what they can do. One armor, however, manages to break through the suppression fire of the cannons and attempts to make a run on the airships.
"Oh, no you don't!" A bright gold ball of light streaks through the sky and flies back toward the Corsairs' airships to intercept the armor that broke through. It comes to a stop between the armor and the lead airship, revealing Gohan surrounded by a bright gold aura.
"You'll have to go through me to get to our airships!"
[b] Alternately, maybe an airship is bearing down on the decks of one of the enemy airships. It begins to open fire with its gatling gun, only to be interrupted by Gohan flying in and throwing the armor's aim off. He places a palm on the connecter of the gun to the armor's arm, then fires a blast of energy through it. The gun falls away and plummets to the waves far below them.
"Not on my watch!"
[3: Destruction]
At this point, there is only one airship left still in the skies. The Corsairs are now withdrawing to their own airships, with Gohan covering their withdrawal. However, he stays behind, and rising into the air, shouts a warning to the airship's crew.
"HEY! If you don't want to go down with this ship, you'd better start making your way to the lifeboats RIGHT NOW!"
Gohan doesn't even know if Imperial airships even have lifeboats, but better safe than sorry. He'd rather not kill anyone he doesn't have to.
Regardless, Gohan then flies off the ship and into the skies above, out of reach of enemy gunfire. He then lets loose a loud yell, and the energy surrounding him expands tremendously. There are subtle changes to his hair, and his aura begins to crackle with electricity. Making sure to keep a rein on his anger, Gohan gets in position and pulls his hands back.
"Kaaa...meee...haaa...meee..."
A concentrated ball of energy forms between Gohan's hands, then he thrusts them forward.
"HAAAAAA!"
From Gohan's hands erupts a huge beam of energy, at least as long in diameter as Gohan is tall. The beam flies straight at the enemy airship, blowing away its masts and plunging into the ship's structure. The entire stern section of the ship is completely blown away, rendered into splinters and other small debris that begins its long fall down to the surface. Now unable to fly, the enemy airship begins its own final descent toward a watery grave.
Gohan takes a deep breath and allows himself to revert back to his normal form. At this point, he's pretty low on energy, so he flies just fast enough to make it back to the Corsairs' airships.
[4: Aftermath]
Gohan can be found sitting cross-legged on the deck, his back leaning against the ship's railing. He has a bottle of water in his hands -- not enough on its own to help him recover, but enough to get him back to Flotsam so he can eat a proper meal. Should anyone approach that he knows, Gohan will raise his water bottle at them and offer a smile.
