Sometimes, the box of emotions has to be put in another box, which is put inside another box, taped shut, chained, and stuck in a dark corner over that covered hole from earlier to ignore for awhile. Never mind that there's gibbering sounds coming from it and that it wiggles and jumps around. We don't talk about that box.

It's a completely healthy coping mechanism, clearly.
