Rather than answer with words, Link decides to demonstrate instead. He jumps up and down several times, and then runs in a quick circle around Atom.

Now, though, Link tilts his head to one side and looks at Atom. In his own way, it's Link's version of asking how Atom is doing - as if he can determine Atom's wellbeing just by staring at him hard enough.
