"Not really?" Donnie says almost simultaneously as Raph replies. His expression sours. "The first time I ever tried to look at a book I got collar-zapped and didn't want to try again," he admits, shoulders hunching up at the memory. "...I only learned how to read once I was brought here."
Is it weird to be jealous of his alternate self? As much as he knows things are different between where Raph is from and this world, it's still...strange, hearing just how much so.
But as his sort-of-brother shares his own favorite story, Donnie can't help but smile faintly. That somehow sounds like a Raph story.
