Unfortunately, Ilphyl doesn't actually get much of a peek inside. Because no matter how much they try to push in, Ilphyl just...won't. It's as if the bag itself resists.

Which seems an odd statement; Ilphyl will have seen Link stash away other things much larger than a cat inside his bag. But then, none of those things had been alive.
