“I owe it to my old team to get in there and save as many as I can,” he says. “Knowing that if even if we succeed, some folk who don’t deserve it are going to die… If we’re doing the necessary evil I need to make sure we do it right.”
He sips his drink.
“When I come back, I’ll be glad to talk about pizza toppings and how best to clean whole fish again,” he says. “Feeding folk is good work, if you can get it.”
