She pivots easier than Link can side-hop, and, instead of going for the forward leg, this time she charges in to full contact, using her empty hand to try and pull away his shield arm and her shorter reach to better defend against the counter-attack in close quarters. If she can get hold of the shield, she can get past it by controlling the shield-arm... Though it means her own awkward defense of her free hand and shoulders.
