"Yes, Sir! Washing hands is vital to the cooking process!" If he sounds like a cookbook for beginners, that's because he has the text from one he read before floating around at the forefront of his electronic brain for reference.

Atom goes to the counter where some of the volunteers had already started to peel onions, and he looks over the available knives. A reference to the cookbook memory suggests a chef's knife, and he picks one of the available blades without the serrated edge. It resembles what he had used the last time he tried cooking during a camping trip with friends where everyone pitched in to prepare a curry dinner.

While the memory of the last time he chopped vegetables is as photographic fresh as the day he recorded it, Atom hovers over the chopping board for a moment in hesitation. He had mostly chopped carrots and potatoes last time. How much pressure was required for onions exactly?

He bites his lip as the grabs the first onion and positions the knife, checking his finger position, regardless of the fact he couldn't be cut so easily.
